Description
The following document reveals a political cartoon and is called "Le pate indigeste." The cartoon was created by a Frenchman who remains unknown in 1815. This particular cartoon has a satiric aspect and shows some major political figures such as Alexander I, George IV, Napoleon I, and many more. The cartoon shows a picture of 4 major power sitting together at a dinner table while Louis XVIII is under the table. On top of the table shows Napoleon in what seems to be a plate getting ready to be consumed by the major powers. Evidently, the cartoon's true meaning was how the major powers were going to handle the situation of Napoleon's failed attempt for world domination and the division of conquered French territory.
